What can NASCAR do to draw the casual fan in?

The main reason people are tuning out is Jimmie Johnson.

The second reason is Dale Earnhardt Jr. falling out of the mix.

The third reason is the economy.

Is it too corporate? Yes, but that keeps the sponsors happy, and no sponsors no NASCAR. Is it trying to hard to be the NFL? Yes, but it's been doing that for 20 years, and the sport has maintained it's upward trend long term.

Watch and see if Dale Jr. doesn't magically become competitive next season.

I'd put a dirt race on the schedule. Not sure how that'd work, but ARCA manages it.
