Sucks, really sucks.

If there is a silver lining, it is that the 10-year survival rate is 80-90%.  The other silver lining is that MD Anderson is in Houston.

Regardless, still sucks.

These days, I understand the impact of health scares way better than I used to.

As a Bama fan, I hate to see this for Metchie. He seemed to be such a good guy at Bama. I wish him a full and speedy recovery from this.

So sad to hear, I wish him the quickest possible recovery possible. Silver lining might be he got diagnosed after the draft so he already got paid.

He's got some rough days ahead, but he's young and strong with a form of cancer that's very much conquerable. His comeback will be a great story.

My dad has had chronic lymphocytic leukemia since around 2014 and has had to have chemo treatment twice. I don’t know about his NFL future but I have a feeling this guy still has quite a long future ahead of him with modern medicine advancements.
