Not sure these low win totals are a product of what folks think or they have PTSD from the last several years and don't want to go out on a limb and be disappointed again.

It’s both. Our schedule is brutal. We play a lot of really good teams. That and teams we’ve played that had lesser talent we lost to as well. Take the Giants for example. Not only did we lose to them, we got absolutely demolished. So basically our schedule is harder than next year and we still have Rhule as HC who has proven he does less with more.

You will have to ask Tepper than question.

That depends on how much Baker was carrying the offense.  If he was simply playing the role of game manager and we like what we see in Corral, we let him take over IMO.  If Baker lights it up then we will have some options.  Some options is a good things vs PJ/Sam/Teddy/Broken Cam.

Clearly, 5-12 will save his job, as it does every year.

Its funny because @CRA is arguing on the other thread that nobody could have done any better with the talent we had last year on O after CMC went down.

Wasn't the offense worse under Rhule college pal Jeff Nixon? Let's keep it real. McAdoo and Wilks wouldn't be here unless someone leaned in and said bring in veteran coaches.

Can’t both be true? Our offense was bad, but Rhule also sucks. To me, we had no business getting beat by 22 points to the Giants last year. Scoring only 3 points was because our offense sucked AND Rhule sucks.

So you want to compare the 12 games before the bye, with the Jets, Giants, and Houston, including all 7 games with CMC  to the 5 games after the bye with 3 on the road including the Bills, 2x SB-champion-Bucs and against the Saints in the Superdome to determine who is the better OC?

One OC had 1.5 years to install an O, the other had a week.

You put too much emphasis on Rhule this year. We have competent NFL folks around to actually coach while he does his process rah rah.

Maybe, maybe not. Rhule is still going to be the one managing the game like all HCs do. People for some reason love McAdoo, but his success has come off of two HoF QBs. I’m not saying he’s going to be bad, but it’s not like why hired McVay. Even with our additions, we aren’t all the sudden in one year going to win 10 games.

Managing what? Timeouts and challenges. He won't be calling plays and won't be determining who plays what or where.  If McAdoo is competent that is worlds ahead of where we were the past 2 years.

Lol yes… Have you not seen how horrible he’s been with that?

Again, I said the offense should be better and defense should take a step back. Not sure what you’re arguing. This will be an improved team, but this isn’t going to be a 9+ win team.

I think that Tepper "strongly suggested" that action, and Rhule (lost and humbled) accepted that suggestion without argument.

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
