The Carolina Panthers are owned by a Dan Snyder clone

For me, the jury is still out on Tepper's ownership. Yes, he believed in Rhule and showed his support of Rhule with money and control. Being wrong, maybe, doesn't make him a bad owner, nor does not firing Rhule when there's a lot of financial commitment remaining in his contract.

I don't know all of the in's and out's of the Rockhill situation. But like I said,  for me,  it's still up in the air.

Back when Tepper was rumored to be the favorite and so many were high on the brass balls thing etc, I said in a number of posts I was burned for that he’s a hedgefund guy, has no mentoring or true managerial talent with people.

he might be a guy that pulls Captain Kirk  types of educated guesses and has an uncanny rate of success with junk bonds and such, but he’s not a manager of people.

people are not the matrix no matter how much analytical dumb dumbs try to make them. Someone like a Tepper is not someone who should own a football team unless he removes himself from it and gets the right GM and leaves them alone.

The fact that this board is just as embarrassing as the Jets board kind of proves that even if you run you franchise like a message board crybaby would, they still won't stop crying.

It's not the criticism, it's the redundancy and bitchiness of it all. Sack up, you miserable bastards.

    • I’m not a Carolina fan as I’m sure you know, but when he came back didn’t he say he was only staying 5 years?  Just long enough to rebuild the program?  Wasn’t that 6 years ago?  Maybe I’m wrong and it hasn’t been that long but it feels like it
    • Can we set him up with an Autocorrect like (I could be wrong here) The Golden Calf of Bristol?
    • Nix has definitely been improving, no doubt about that. I think you can see it when you watch him play. He's also older than Bryce by a year, and I think that has helped him to some extent adapt quicker.  Bryce's last three games have been better but are still pretty bad, lol. He's had a bunch of nice throws at least but at some point we need to see more consistency in that across an entire game, vs one or two drives. Real big test against KC this week... I think we all know how it's going to go, lol
