The biggest argument against overvaluing athleticism and physical qualities versus results on the field is Darnold himself.  He is a very athletic guy and has all the physical attributes you want in a qb. The comparison between him and Baker or Corral isn't close. But clearly there is much more involved in finding a franchise qb or he would have more success than he has. So.lets stop with the Corral is athletic comments. On the list of necessary attributes that makes the top 10 but not the top 3 for sure.

Matt Rhule talking out of the side of his neck, pre-snap, whatever but a QB who has the elite characteristics to REACT to what is in front of him is something as a coach you could use to you're advantage.

I'd imagine such a QB would be proficient in two minute.

I said the Browns are garbage and have been historically.

With Matt Corral you have to defend/respect the run. He can make you pay. He is fast. Plus the arm. Plus the accuracy, the youth.

Every time you play him he's learning what works in the NFL and what doesn't. What parts of his game will translate what won't.

If he looks like Ole Miss Corral by the end of the season under McAdoo we win. Why waste McAdoo on failed Baker? Use McAdoo to put Corral on the field and compete like Mac, like Zach, like Justin.

McAdoo loves this guy, that's public. Let him Adoo what he Adoo. Who knows how long he'll have with Corral in reality.

Feel free to check any and all Baker Mayfield statements from about February onward. They don't match anything close to the scenario you are inventing in your head.

Furthermore, the incredibly strange hissy fit about the "disrespect" for a 3rd round QB that was literally the #2 QB on the roster through minicamp is profoundly odd.

You do realize that the overwhelming majority of the board wanted to see Corral start over Darnold, right? I mean...there were multiple threads about this.
