Linville playbook..

Argue just to argue while making no points..

Then talk about grammar...

Playing the hits since 90' ..

Lmao..

Do you have a different rabbit hole in your arsenal??

Did you come form the scout forum? I know youve been on the huddle for years. Old LG was on the scout forum as I member. Once he got mod here(long wait) hes had to take some abuse and thus became the current LG. Hes always been petty good for football talk, hates being wrong like many others, and has the worst QB takes in the history of mankind.

Cam technically had to compete.  He played as the #2 in the preseason.  Don’t think he “earned” the job until after the 4th game.

it was dumb.

and everyone in Spartanburg will know who gives us the best chance to win.  But Rhule probably will play the charade.  And Rhule probably will play musical QBs in the season if Baker doesn’t win

Agree to disagree..

Jmo it wasn't even a possibility Cam wasn't starting...

Cam number 1 draft pick..

Cam was Rivera QB choice in his 1st HC opportunity Pickles wasn't..

All Cam had to show was he could Line up under Center and the job was his..

They played that 2nd QB poo for a few Pre season games but knew Cam was going day 1..

I agree we will know in TC and another benefit.. So will the roster.. Hopefully this is just a Rhule decision and its Mcadoo making the call..

He was right about Darnold.

I think anyone who  spends so much time in the shlthole Tinderbox loses it a bit.  When you constantly read the nasty negative interactions in there, it can mess a person up.

Most of the board was right, bump those threads and see me in there hating on that trade for the "worst 3 yr running" QB.

No clue why anyone wants to post in the litterbox. Echo chamber, in fact I got a picture of all those who post there- dNWunIB.thumb.jpg.5a9a6c8e93213a8421bf19f0d7754c0b.jpg

I have no problem with Linville.. Every once in awhile he gets combative for no reason..

Then starts playing the internet psychologist or dick measuring game for no reason..

He's usually makes good football discussion points and valid arguments but sometimes he wants to be a ahole while doing it..

Idk??

Hes had to adapt given what mods go though, it would change about anyone. Combative part maybe due to not getting his thc levels right.

Maybe, but Rivera still went through with the charade of him earning it and it took the entire preseason before Ron would acknowledge it.  It was dumb.  And it will be be dumb if Rhule doesn’t just let Baker prep as the 1 and pretends like it is a comp.

I disagree.. Everything I've read about Baker is he's better when he isn't entitled.. Just giving him the job without any semblance of earning it.. Isn't good for him or the roster just to give it to him.. He still doesn't have alot of fans here and he has to know that..

He literally just got dumped by the Browns for a serial predator and no one really wanted him.   I’d say that is enough.  Now let him be a real QB.   Which means taking on a leadership role a QB should have.  Early.  Another problem we had last year with Rhule BS mantra of a QB just being a random player and not a leader.  QBs always needs to lead to an extent.

Yep but he still shouldn't come here and be giving a job.. He earns it and the leadership thing is a non question... The roster will follow him seeing it on the field and seeing how much he's better then Sam and they will follow him.. Instead of being told by a coach this is your guy without any competition he proves on the field it's no question  .

Our QB depth chart is Sam Darnold, PJ Walker and a 3rd round rookie.  He is the best option week 1 and it isn’t much of a debate.

why wouldn’t you want the best QB on the roster prepping all camp and preseason as the one in a brand new system with brand new teammates vs….other QBs stealing reps with the 1s he needs?

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
