Hornets Summer League Roster

McGowens looked like an actual NBA player today. That was nice to see. Odds are he'll be stuck in the Swarm all season though.

Williams looked like an NBA player too, especially once the team started feeding him. As long as Williams plays defense and rebounds, Cliff will play him. Even Biz got around 20 minutes per game as a rookie.

Williams stat line (posted below) was all done in 20 minutes today. If he can put up those numbers consistently then he’ll be just fine.

Yep and Cliff will love him for it. So will the fans as they demand he get starter minutes, even if he isn't ready for them.

Who were the big men going against Williams for the Cavs and Lakers? Amar Sylla and Sharfeef Oneal?

Could've had Duren, McGowens and another pick like Eason..... And if you didnt want to pick in the lottery b/c you are to cheap (Jordan) than at least get something formidable back in return. The trade will never make sense.

I edited the post and the point still stands… who is Duren playing? The same completion? Also who is Duren’s point guard and who is Williams’?

You keep talking up Duren who has what, a summer league high of 11 points while playing with one of the best guards in summer league?

Nick Richards has been in the league for three years so he’s obviously going to get more burn… just like Noel, Olynyk, Stewart, and Bagley are going to get more run than Duren.

For all the talk about Duren, you’d think he’d be putting up 20 and 10 games… but no, Duren’s and Williams’ best games are as followed:

Jalen Duren - 13 points (80% FG, 71% FT), 6 rebounds (1 off), 3 assists, 2 blocks, +5 in 26 minutes.

Mark Williams - 12 points (67% FG), 8 rebounds (2 off), 2 blocks, 2 steals, 1 assist, +4 in 20 minutes

Where is this huge gap that we were all told there was?
