Being hesitant is not the same as not willing. I think the Hornets will sign him. Miles has the skills his position demands in today's NBA, he's young, a homegrown talent, and is still improving. They would be epic morons not to match any offer or beat it.

Although I am getting more and more on the "trade him for Ayton" bandwagon for roster fit reasons...there are some really good forwards available in the draft with the 13 and 15 pick

Granted, I did not watch enough games, but would we not be better off getting a top notch center and then bringing in a forward who can shoot and be more dynamic?

mitch earned trust. everyone wanted him to max walker(not me) and he did right. this feels different tho, i dont know the current "max" feelings among teams/gms. I know at one point, decent mid-level players were getting maxxed, but it feels like thats also changed some..

does feel like a agent is doing agent things as well...

Depends on what plan B is… if plan B is Ayton then I wouldn’t be terribly upset assuming we could move in the range of pick seven and select Keegan Murray if he’s available.

Miles' development has been entertaining to watch.  He definitely seems like a star in the making after this year.  Personally I wish his game was a little more rounded out on the defensive side, but he is a dynamic ball handler attacking the basket, and can hit 3s sometimes too.  It might sting to give him the max, but if anyone deserves it right now it should be him.  It would be a much better contract to be stuck with than Gordon Hayward.
