For those that are interested, this account has been calling everything we do.

Pacioretty Trade

Tkachuk Interest

This tweet followed after by a verified insider…

Then the response…

Whoever this is has a hell of a source.

Interesting. I'll have to keep up with this one.

Very much an all in for a cup approach it would appear this season.... Wouldn't be shocked to see us acquire Kane.

Would take a helluva moved- he's under contract at $10.5M. The Canes would have to give up the farm for a 33-year old winger. Sure, he's a scorer, and he's averaging 70+ points a season over the last 5, but is he really worth it?

The Blackhawks are far from contention he is anther with 1 year remaining, I'd say witht them retaining 75% of his contract it wouldn't be as much as you think.

The max retainment a team can do is 50%, the Canes would need to find a third team to eat the additional 25% but obviously they’d have to give assets to do so which is why I don’t think that’s likely.

Kane at 50% for an extended Necas and Gardiner at 50% should get it done. At the end of the day Kane is a free agent next year and is much older than Tkachuk so he shouldn’t pull nearly as much as extend Tkachuk got.

If you get a third party involved you can have the OG absorb 50% and the third party absorb another 50% see some of TBs rentals.

Everything I've seen from the Canes moves and moved they have attempted says they are making a push for the cup this season.

MaxPac has one of the highest conversion rates in the leauge it wouldn't shock me to see him on line one Pac/Aho/Jarvis it also wouldn't shock me to see Jarvis move back to his natural C position and have Svech/Jarvis/Necas produce heavily as line 2.

Our PP should be much better already this season already.

I mean that’s exactly what I said but you have to give up assets to do that, no one is going to take 25% for free, and if you go up to 50% then you are going to be giving up big time assets. The Canes aren’t going to give up Drury or Morrow for Kane. He’s a UFA after this year and the Canes can easily fit him in if the Hawks retain 50% as long as someone like Necas and Gardiner (50% retained) is going back the other way. There’s no need to give up picks and prospects to a third party for a player whose cap hit comes off the books at the end of the season.

So reports are that our package for Tkachuk was built around Necas. Just a guess but I’m thinking it was probably Necas, Morrow, and a first.

With that said, the Canes seem keen on upgrading the forward position… I’d be shocked if Necas wasn’t moved in a package for a top six forward.

Makes me happy they are still working on the roster

    • Watching Rams/Eagles. Celebrating the St Louis Rams team that won the SB (Warner, Holt, etc..) while playing in Los Angeles seems wrong.  If I were in Los Angeles, no way I would attend a Rams game.  Probably wouldn't attend a Chargers game either.  Becoming a fan of a team that likes to move around just seems like a waste of energy as a fan.
    • The only responses I am getting after providing statistics to put opinions in perspective seem to be from people who get angry and attack stats and people whose opinions differ from their own.  Have people on the Huddle ever overreacted, exaggerated, been wrong about players before?  Sure they have, so an alternative opinion with statistical support should not cause you to attack me or my views.  I am sorry your public schools failed you.  But your reactions are very revealing--you are stuck in Piaget's concrete operational stage--learn logic, how to debate a topic, and learn the difference between facts and emotional opinions.  When I paralleled Cam's stats with Jones' to point out how remarkably similar their careers have been to this point, It blew some 40 watt minds.  I think Jones, in a better situation, could be good--that should not upset you--
    • penalties and poor hands is what cost us in the RZ Bryce missing "high" in the back of the end zone is not an issue, you're taught as a QB to throw high in the back of end zone were only the receiver can catch or no one The duo of Ian Thomas and Tommy tremble can both go at the end of the season, both been here for multiple seasons and they've barely developed
