I feel like we have to have a trade in the works that we need spare picks for. Though I do think this was Waddell getting played like a fiddle cause ultra low balls players and then refuses to negotiate. I’m guessing he thinks Bear will be back on the cheap, Chatfield will come up and we’ll trade for a middle of the road older D to replace TDA.

Qualifying offers tendered to 8 of the 11 RFAs on the roster:

Necas, Lorentz, Mattheos, Bear, Keane, LaJoie, Sellgren, Reunanen.

Among the 3 not extended offers was goalie Jack LaFontaine.

Free agency doesn't start until the 13th at noon. Not a whole lot the Canes can do right now except sign guys already on the roster to extensions.

I have a feeling Necas is trade bait.

DUMBdon and Waddell are cheap asses. This team has hit its ceiling and will forever be a First Round exit Team under this Administration. Just like the maple leafs.

Vincent Trocheck, the Canes paid him $4.75M the last few years, signed by the Rangers at $5.625M.

Are you seriously telling me the Canes wouldn't ante up a new deal at less than $1M per year more?
