Greg had been doing the spots for NFLN and Fox before he was even retired and even the longtime TV guys were going on about how good he is, and yet, Mr. Toupee here and Brady are raking in huge deals and displacing guys despite having no experience with it.  Imagine how Rodney Harrison (F him, by the way) feels.  He got ousted out of the studio for THAT, and now they fire him after one year.

 

Kevin Greene had the same issue.

Super charismatic guy in life. On TV though, just never looked comfortable.

He was just awful as an announcer. I am sure that means Fox will have him on the team each week to do our games.

If it wasn’t for Aikman’s knowledge and Collinworth’s stories they’d be trash too, and kind of are in a lot of ways.

True-ish but the entire tune in to hate on him thing only works for some people and others just avoid. It's not like he is Stern at his height at ABC, he was doing stuff every day that people wanted to complain about. If you hate Brees then what is the point of spending any time with him in your ear? I would watch him play to see if he got hit but there is no win if he is just talking. Too easy to mute.
