Jimmy Johnson suggests Panthers hit Walmart when QB shopping

Mentioned us with the Browns and Rams I think, unfortunately we have no choice but to go to 'walmart' considering our top pick is a 2nd rounder and if we bring peppers and davis back our cap space is shot.

We'll more than likely be shopping for a QB at a flea market.

Basically he was suggesting that investing a lot of money in an unproven QB is a bad move, I agree. He noted that Romo was undrafted, Warner was from Arena league, Brady was a 6th rounder and Favre was a 2nd rounder.

Funny, he specifically used Ryan Leaf as an example how a bad #1 QB pick can ruin a Franchise for years.

Since 2001 the Bolts have drafted Drew Brees, and an Eli Manning for Phillip Rivers, Sean Merriman and Nate Kaeding draft day deal to have excellent QB play for 8 of 9 years since Leaf left town. The Bolts aren't afraid to fail at the QB position.
