Checked and didn't see any new thread.   According to this interview today with Florio, the 2 Qbs are on even ground. Interview is about 19 mins long.

He is more knowledgeable about the Panthers than most. He pissed Smitty off so bad he was shook, looking over his shoulder for #89. Smitty was playing then so Florio has a little Panther cred at least.

Is it safe to say that beating Sam for #1 isn’t really saying much.

I heard that part and definitely  thought the same.  He also noted that if any players are out there (at more than QB), they have  the cap allocated  aside to do so. Hearing that makes me want to see who else around the league may be available  at other positions.

Yes but even if Corral is only marginally better....wouldn't you still rather see him?

I never accepted the "Oh he's young" argument for Darnold because his tape was so fuging bad. I can at least accept that for a rookie. At least even if he is highly mediocre to bad there is still some hope about improvement. Darnold had years of bad film. We know he is terrible and isn't going to improve enough to ever be a good NFL QB.
