wait what? I don't think IQ was one of ray's weaknesses either> Ray might be the most feared linebacker in history. As great as he was and I do think he was superior to Ray in coverage that might be about it. Ray a much more devastating hitter. i give him the edge there.

I was too young to watch Taylor but I’ve watched everything I could find online of him back when I played for texas state (also a OLB)

funny thing - I think his first contract was like 6 years for 6 million dollars back then lol

If I’m wanting the smartest and instinctual Linebacker in NFL history I pick Luke, if I need to murder someone I pick Ray Lewis.

Love Luke to death but come on….  Ray Ray?  Not even close.  He was the dog of dogs.

Ray was incredible against the run, physically intimidating and HOFer.

Luke was good against run and great overall.

2 systems, both excelling.  If Luke had made it 3 more years in the league, he would get the nod.

I would say the best people to ask would be the quarterbacks that played against both.  I think they are both great.  I loved watching the chess game between Luke and opposing quarterbacks.  They would line up Luke would diagnose, they would audible,  rinse and repeat.  I did not get to see Ray play as often, but he was a huge impact player and right up there in the greatest of all time.  I think the time Luke spent in the league puts him right in that conversation as well.

Luke was a very good LB no idea where he ranks due to his short career. 

 

But he's not top 5 all time I don't think.

Plus Ray Lewis over Luke easily because Ray knocked the schit out of people.

Of all the great linebackers to play the game, Ray Lewis, by far had the best lawyers.

I dont think any of those guys could chess match the other teams QB and OC like Luke Keuchly could. Part of the reason our defense stayed competitive so long was because Luke was putting guys in the right position all the time.

Luke is the best 4/3 MLB ever, IMO.

He could have played in every single decade and era of football.

Ray wouldn't be nearly as valuable as Luke in todays NFL.
