SERIES RECAPS:

THE QUICK HITS:

Since Friday's Final Horn: As has become practice for Carolina thus far this series, the team held a limited skate on Saturday. Antti Raanta was on the ice as a part of the crew and at Rod Brind'Amour's media availability he said, "We're going to see how he does today. We're going to reassess everything when he comes back." As for the opposition, Boston held a skate on their home ice.

Scouting The Other Side: Bruins Head Coach Bruce Cassidy said Saturday that he intends to dress the same 18 skaters and start Jeremy Swayman in net once again. Defenseman Hampus Lindholm was ruled out for a second consecutive game as a result of the hit by Andrei Svechnikov in Game Two.

Taking Steps Forward: The demise of Carolina on Friday was their special teams, as not only did they go 0-for-5 on the power play, they allowed a momentum-shifting shorthanded goal, too. Players and coaches alike pinpointed it as the difference and something they hope to have better execution on today.

Martinook Likely Out: Canes forward Jordan Martinook left Friday's Game Three during the second period with a lower-body injury and did not return. Brind'Amour said Saturday morning that one of either Stepan or Lorentz would have to come in for the injury. He also said that the staff was debating on making another switch as well.

Chatting With Coach: Along with a potential update on Martinook, Brind'Amour may answer questions about a potential starting netminder when he meets with the media at 10:15 a.m. this morning.

Physical Nature: The two sides have combined for 241 hits through three games thus far this series. Andrei Svechnikov leads the way for Carolina with 14, nine of them coming in Game Two.

Living In The Daytime: Carolina went 11-2 in afternoon games during the regular season.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

What Are We Wearing?: The Canes will be wearing their white sweaters today.

More Milestones: Sebastian Aho is one point shy of passing Rod Brind'Amour for the second-most points in franchise playoff history.

BOSTON, MA. - Rod Brind'Amour will turn back to Antti Raanta in net for Game Four in Boston Sunday, as the Carolina Hurricanes aim to reclaim their two-game lead in the series.

The head coach said that the only factor in the decision was Raanta's health and that he was good to go today. "The other day [Raanta] wasn't feeling the best, so that was an easy decision," Brind'Amour said about going with Kochetkov for Game Three, but having the elder netminder today.

In regard to Jordan Martinook, Brind'Amour said that the alternate captain is out and "not a next game type of thing either" after suffering a lower-body injury during Friday night's battle. This opens the door for Derek Stepan to draw in this afternoon.

The veteran forward finished the regular season with three points in his last three games.

Carolina's projected lineup for this afternoon's 12:30 p.m. EST puck drop is:

Forwards:

Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis

Domi - Trocheck - Teravainen

Niederreiter - Staal - Fast

Stepan - Kotkaniemi - Necas

Defensemen:

Slavin - DeAngelo

Skjei - Pesce

Smith - Cole

Starting Goalie:

Raanta

Injuries:

Frederik Andersen

Jordan Martinook

Scratches:

Ethan Bear

Steven Lorentz

Noon games usually get us, hoping the boys are ready to go tomorrow. Boston was bound to get one so no need to be concerned yet.

Like you I thought it was bad but apparently we crushed it this year during the day.

Word is Charlie McAvoy will be out toda6

Svech and him were going at it hard in the last 10 on Friday night. He was struggling after one of the hits(actually I think he tried to hit Svech and took a weird bounce off the boards that time).

Love Marty but this is probably addition by subtraction puts a third guy who can actually score on the fourth line.

What we were discussing the other day. How wild would it be if we had two Calder finalist with Koochie and this guy?
