I think people ate putting to much on a rookie, still.

Maybe. But rookie QB’s (and WR’s) are much different than they were a decade ago.

They actually have passing games at the high school level now lol.

Either way, I’m eager to see how this plays out in camp. Can’t wait. Simply having competition with potential at QB is revitalizing.

Just saw this pop up about Trask

Ok...

But the coaching staff has been impressed with the way he’s taken to the playbook, with about 70% of the offense thrown at him in a three-day span.

“He did great. I thought he was fantastic,” Arians said. “Just the way he processes information. To take it from the first time ever hearing it -- he was throwing it to the right guy. There were some really good, disguised coverages that he saw the first day of his career, so I was really impressed with how he processes information, and he was very accurate.”

Sounds like the Kyle I know they still love him.

They love him so much hes not even competing for QB2. He is stuck this year as QB3 if Brady doesn't get hurt. And who is this guy they won't move out of the way for him?

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GabbBl00.htm

A guy who threw for 12 touchdowns as a rookie, and thats the most he ever got in a season.

50 Touchdowns and 47 Interceptions for his career and completes 56% of his passes. Don't go off of what they tell you, go off of what they show you. And what they are showing you is, if he is QB3 for the second year in a row and can't beat out Gabbert, he isn't the future.

On a 4 year deal he will likely finish year 2 as QB3. So on year 3 he is going to compete for the starting job and go from 3 to 1? Or will he compete with somebody else for QB2? Its not a great look.

This is Darnolds last make or break chance with this team. A revamped Oline and the three running backs ready to go, he has to succeed or it's over. Corral will be breathing down his neck all season.

The Panthers should be patient with Matt Corral and let him develop at a pace that suits his learning curve.

They have him for five years on fairly cheap contracts so there is no need to rush him along and impede what appears on the surface to be a promising career.

    • Happy Thanksgiving y’all. Thankful for a very good team and for this group to talk canes.  Eat drink celebrate our win bs the rags. This team is cup ready.
    • I don't think should be seen as an insult, legitimately. Teddy's floor was consistently a good game manager to his ceiling of border-line top 10 QB who's arm strength didn't blow you away but could make all the throws and generally made good decisions and had some sneaky athleticism.  Teddy started on quite a few teams. He had a good start to his career, had a horrific injury that could have ended his career, came back and played himself into being a starter, got a contract here (and subsequently became another victim of Tepper's impetuousness), and then started games for a few other teams. Teddy could have been a franchise QB had he not suffered a freak injury, and then he just never ended up in another stable situation. He still had a good NFL career that could have been great without that injury. Teddy before that injury did look like a franchise QB, and I dont think that's a bad comp for Young nor an insult in terms of what his career could be based on that comparison.
    • Absolutely the wrong take. We have to run and gun. We have zero post presence. We just have to make shots. We just can't hit water from a boat tonight and we're turning it over to boot. Then you have a poor shooting opponent shooting lights out.  Looks like a long season ahead of us though if Hubert doesn't adapt to this roster. We have to play a pressure trapping D and get out in transition because we aren't beating anyone in the half court.
