He's standoffish and awks with the local media, but very affable with Kristen Balboni - I assume she made him lower his guard before hitting record.

Some of ya'll are really weird in your defenses with Sam Darnold and I'll leave it at that. On MC the kid hasn't even been on the team a week let's give him an opportunity to show us who he is.

I believe that Tepper gave Rhule the vote of confidence so that 1) he would not get desperate during the draft, and 2) it had become a distraction.  Was Rhule's behavior in pressers following the draft different?  Yes.  If you go back and watch him last year, it was obvious who was in charge.  This year, Fitterer answered the questions.
