Media got his hopes up. Word was most all times had him listed as a project. Media miscalculated greatly

Brady played at Michigan and made some big time throws and comebacks even though he was a backup. Malik struggled at Liberty. Liberty! And is undersized and wildly inaccurate on short and intermediate throws. Like what are you guys expecting here?

To be fair, that was a Marty Hurney first round grade.

Hurney also put a first round grade on Greg Little.

we had three qbs that were even serviceable in our 27 year history... and one of them we drafted

I'm definitely not opposed to rolling the dice on Willis as long as the cost is reasonable. Something like our 4th and Robby Anderson to a wr desperate team to get back into the latter half of the 2nd could make sense for both teams.

Media deserves a lot of blame but it really picked up when all 32 teams had at least one rep at his pro day. Personally I think that’s when the train started to leave the station. He was the only QB to have a representative from all 32 teams at his pro day (to my knowledge) and while Rhule and Tomlin were the only HC’s, that much personnel representation is on par with a first round draft pick.

A lot of it probably had to do with who Liberty is… small school, young program, etc… so let’s send some guys there to just check it out.

But yeah, it was a mess all the way around.
