Strengths

Excellent locker-room guy with culture-building personality.

Traits to fit into any blocking scheme.

Wrestling and weight-room success show up on the field.

Fits up run blocks with leverage through engagement.

Transfers force from hips to hands to jolt and dislodge edge defenders.

Flexible with adequate quickness as zone blocker.

Acceleration to cross-face back-side defensive tackle.

Body control to mirror linebackers on the climb up.

Plays with an extremely violent field demeanor.

Adequate slide quickness and range in pass protection.

Hands were noticeably better in 2021.

Length is a weapon when timing and hand resets are working.

Open-field talent can breathe life into a screen game.

From these highlights it appears as if he always looks for someone to block, and folks who go against him have a hard time shedding the block. He also mauls dudes which is what we need.

Erving choosing to loaf and casually let a defender cross his face and proceed to obliterate Sam was one of the most infuriating things I've seen in a long time. This is such a refreshing trait.
