Wouldn't surprise me at all if this were true, and that he started growing on the staff when he was interviewed by Fitts and Morgan, etc.

Corroborated by Joe Person on the Athletic Pod today.

They also ran a writers mock where all 3 tackles went (Neal, Ekwonu, and Cross)

Person basically said the fanbase has not only lost interest but gone from apathetic to angry. That we’re basically in a dark place and Rhule and stepper may go Pickett if they can’t trade down in that type of scenario. Looking bleak haha. 

They basically reasserted how we’re the most interesting team because of how poor shape we put ourselves into.

Yep.  Tired of the “He’s so young!” rhetoric when he’s the same player he’s always been and likely will continue to be that same player.  The staff has given no reason to give them the benefit of the doubt.  
 

But Cross is the LT I want in the draft, so now I don’t know what I want.  Hopefully his arm length fits the bill

I hope so. We haven’t drafted a 1st round linemen since the Bush administration.

If Rhule thinks he sucks then I can’t think of a better endorsement for drafting him

I dont care if a player interviews well. I care about that player making us better and winning games. I doubt Marshawn Lynch was much of an interview either. SMH
