Probably need to reinstall the OS. Might I suggest Xp Pro, unless you have more than 2gb ram.

I dunno, I think you need 4gb or more to make the upgrade to Win7 worth it. From my experiences with Windows 7, people don't realize how bad it is...yet. Vista was much the same.
