That won’t happen. The odds that does is hitting 3 team Parlays 5 times in a row.

The odds of those guys losing out if they sit all there key players are decent (Denver already two losses in a row) the odds of not picking up an otl point and us winning out are the killers lol.

Even if they rest starters there’s a ton of variables that will go on. Chances arent decent… the chances are still extremely slim to none.  In the bedding world it’s some statistically impossible to hit the three team parlay five times in a row which is essentially what would have to happen.  
 

The canes need to focus on winning each night and stay ahead of the Rangers to get home ice all the way to the eastern conference when they would probably face Florida. Honestly though in the playoffs home ice really doesn’t mean much of anything since every team is good.

You are correct about the odds... But this part I put in bold for you remember it next time the world is "falling" the playoff field in the east has been set (above 95% probability even for the wild cards) since it went to break..... with a lot of contenders letting off the gas....

The only teams who have played better than .500 hockey since then are the "try hard" teams that either haven't had playoff success in 40 years (or since the NHL had 6 teams in the case of the Maple Leafs) or teams like Florida who hasn't ever won a playoff series.
