Great stat.  Where is it from?

Take GWD or 4Q comeback and add them to losses. These are all possible opportunities/losses for a QB. Divide GWD or 4QC by possible losses. This separates the game managers from game winning QBs, and consistently translates from college to the NFL.

Garropolo is 10 GWD / 10 4QC / 14 L ; 41.7% GWD / 41.7% 4QC

For comparison, Rodgers at 30 had 10 GWD/ 6 4QC / 29 L ; 25.6% GWD / 17.1% 4QC

I think people are confusing flashy with clutch. How many QBs have bailed their team out more than 42% of the time when trailing in the 4th quarter? I will let you dig. You'll find out Jimmy G is #1. There are only 6 starting QBs in the NFL who have more playoff game winning drives than Jimmy G.

Jimmy G is far from flashy, but give him the respect of being the #1 active clutch QB in the NFL. It's not Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes.

Unfortunately he isn’t clutch when it matters and is most important. Last year and the Super Bowl.

What are you talking about game winning playoff drives? He has only been the the playoffs twice. In 2019 and 2021. They blew out every team in 2019 because of their defense and running game(75 passing yards NFC Championship). In 2021 He didn’t have to do much due to their defense balling and Deebo. Every time he has a chance for a game winning drive or tying drive he failed. Interception in 2019 Super Bowl. Interception in 2021 NFC Championship.
Also if Jimmy is so good why are the 49ers wanting to get rid of him and traded a ton of assets to move up. You don’t do that for an elite player. You do that for a player that you know can’t win you a super bowl. Doesn’t seem right for a player that is supposedly as elite as you people think he is.
You Jimmy fans are weird.

    • I forgot about Jackson...definitely elite.  The sad part of your list is that 2 of them were 'there for the taking for the Panthers'.  Rumor has it that Hurney loved Herbert and was vetoed on trying to trade up.  And rumor has it that Frank & McCown wanted Stroud.  I believe both rumors.
    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
