Except in this case, the city owns the building and sees a ROI from the rent the Hornets pay. This isn't the same as an NFL owner demanding a new building because he wants to fleece the city.

Michael Jordan is a billionaire and keeps all the profits from all the events in the Cable Box including the $18 Hop Drops...

...he should be paying for all the maintenance and upgrades himself and allow the city to put that $275 million into the schools and the court system where it's sorely needed.

Milwaukee, operating in a market only 70% the size of Charlotte, won a Championship last year. 

The Spurs are in a market 20% smaller than the Bobcats and have been to the playoffs 13 times, the Finals 3 times, and won 2 Championships...during the 16 years of misery Jordan has foisted onto the Bobcats and their fans .
