Not that this tweet made me come to this realization, but for the first time I’m allowing the possibility of a Qb at 6 run wild in my mind.

I’ve been pounding the table for a LT this whole time and thought surely we wouldn’t draft one of these QBs. But now I can’t get that nauseating thought out of my mind.

So nothing really has changed.  Matt Rhule has had final say and still does.  

Rhule just has egg on his face and guys are louder in giving opinions to him. 
 

Matt Rhule is drafting Kenny Pickett.  And Pickett isn’t good enough to convince the Panthers roster in camp he is a better option for success than Sam Darnold.

Horrible staff and now he faces the thing that no qb wants to go through.  Changing to a completely different offense so early in his career.  So his rookie season was a waste in scheme wise.

With the emphasis that Fitterer made on a QB inspiring and uplifting teammates, I'm starting to believe that there's hope that the Panthers target Malik Willis with the intent of having him sit behind Sam for the year unless he goes full The Darnold.

I still think Baker and Jimmy G are heavily in the mix, regardless of what the media says right now.  If we don't land a QB in the draft I expect them to go after one of those 2 guys.

That’s something retarded that I can see the panthers doing.  Let the rookie learn from Sam.  Yeah that’s the tits.   Then when rhule is fired Willis can then learn another system from the new coach.   
 

build the line.  Run it back with Sam and then get a new coach and new qb and let them learn together

I don't think Darnold is our starter next year unless he's keeping the seat warm for a rookie.

I dont see any scenario where we can unload Darnold even if we agree to pay some of his salary.  Who is trading for that?  Why would we do that?   Then are you saying we are going to trade for Baker/Jimmy because that would be monumentally retarded to do something like that for a year under their current salaries.  I doubt either would get straight cut and if they did why would they come here on a 1 year deal.

 

None of that makes any sense.  Bringing them here probably isnt a realistic option

      I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
