You were doing well until this part. It should have been the games of the ultra wealthy instead of the political parties. The Rs and Ds are puppets for their corporate and ultra wealthy backers after all.

Well that's kind of the point. The only way things will change is if regular people stop playing the game of politics as manipulated by plutocrats at the behest of the oligarchs. Honestly, most of the people in Congress need to be fired. Without the support of Congress, the ultra-rich's schemes would be laid out for what they are and put to an end. The only way that's going to happen is if the proletariat changes its mind--get something on its mind other than the divisive politics of the 20th century, and elects new people with new ideas that actually work for the people as opposed to the ultra rich.

Tepper needs to stop trying to leech off of SC taxpayers and build his Panthers HQ with his own money.  Dave's worth somewhere north of 16 billion.

It's hilarious that this deal with Rock Hill SC blew up in his face.  Let's not kid ourselves.  If Tepper had pulled this off, his next move would have been to play NC against SC for a new domed stadium.  That would have resulted in billions in construction costs being shifted on to the backs of hard working Carolina tax payers.

Tepper is more than capable of paying for his team's wish list of construction projects without draining local government coffers of tax dollars better spent elsewhere.

U.S. Congressman Ralph Norman's statement on what's going on:

"Our community deserves to hear from David Tepper without further delay.
"Hundreds of millions of dollars have already been invested in this incredible venture, not to mention painstaking efforts by thousands of individuals. From the beginning, our community has embraced Mr. Tepper and rallied behind his “two states, one team” mission for the Carolina Panthers. The importance of this endeavor – and what it will ultimately mean for York County and the entire state of South Carolina – simply cannot be overstated.
"Since groundbreaking in 2020, we’ve watched as the Panthers’ new facility has completely transformed the skyline of Rock Hill. When coupled with future private developments throughout the rest of the 240-acre complex, Mr. Tepper could be the catalyst for thousands of new jobs and have a monumental impact on South Carolina’s economy that will seal his legacy for generations to come.
"That’s what is ultimately at stake here, and why it was so shocking when Tepper Sports unexpectedly paused construction over a month ago; a blow that, since then, has been compounded by the organization’s unexplainable silence.
"I’ve been involved in real estate and commercial construction for more than 40 years, and have never seen this degree of uncommunicativeness – on any level.
"While Tepper Sports is certainly not obligated to negotiate in public, I do believe Rock Hill and York County governments have demonstrated their desire to discuss all obstacles to this development and help bring the Panthers’ headquarters and training facility to their new home in South Carolina. However, that cannot happen so long as Mr. Tepper remains unwilling to engage.
"Each passing day that Tepper Sports declines comment only results in more rumors, more speculation, and more anxiety over catastrophic losses for our community should this venture fall apart.
"As a Panther’s fan, a resident of York County and as its representative in Congress, I am publicly asking Mr. Tepper to break the silence and be transparent about what’s happening from his perspective. We deserve at least that much respect.
"My sincere hope is that both sides can work together to quickly restart this endeavor, and I stand ready to do anything within my ability to help make that happen."

How many "billions" are you expecting?

Tepper has no ability whatsoever to redirect tax-payor funds for any project, his or otherwise...

...only your duly elected officials can do so...

...keep it in mind when voting season comes later this year 👊

You do vote, right?

So, what is happening here?  This makes it sound like there is no known reason for the project to be stopped.  Yet we have heard that Rock Hill, or whomever, has not come thru on their agreement/obligation.  I am confused.

Politicians will politic.

Facts so far:
Rock Hill never issued the bonds they were supposed to issue 2 years ago.

York county came in last month and offered a 30 year property tax break instead of cash.

Panthers have not responded to York county’s offer.

Panthers have supposedly abandoned the project.

Well, the reports were Tepper agreed to York County’s offer/plan…..until he apparently didn’t.  There also is reports RH was told by Tepper not to issue the bonds.

this is why Tepper can’t remain silent and has a duty to speak.  Which he has failed to do.  Not a fan of Norman but he is correct.  Tepper doesn’t have to do it publicly but his silence isn’t acceptable .

Thus none of the public infrastructure, roads, power, sewage and water, has been done.
