Howell is just as good as any of the other prospects in the first round.  You may think he's a lower round but don't be surprised if he goes in the first round as well.

That's about to change.  He was probably the top QB coming into the 2021 season.  Sadly Carolina didn't have the weapons he had in 2020 yet still missed his 2020 output by only 500 yards. 

Whoever drafts him will have the best QB of the lot.

Honestly--I think he comes into play as early as #18 (New Orleans) and #20 (Pittsburgh)  I think it is unlikely he passes the Lions after that (#32 and #34) IF they do not take Willis at #2.  If Ridder is rated higher than Howell, however, Howell could drop into round 2.   There is no way he slips into round 3---I guarantee it. 

I think there is a deliberate effort by Tar Heel haters to discredit all that is UNC and there are UNC fans that promote all that is UNC--once you cut through that crap, you will find Howell to be worthy of late first round consideration, but likely an early second round pick.

Many of you were riding the Howell train last year and now it has changed to be he isn't that great a QB. If he is drafted by us what then. He just may be what the team needs and he could develop into a good player and could overthrow Darnolds QB thrown. But not our first round pick.
