This one stings.  I've been a fan for a long time and loved his drumming style.  I wouldn't be surprised if Dave just ends the band and moves on.

I don't know about that, but I can see the band taking an extended hiatus as well as cancelling the rest of the current tour.

Such a talented guy and he really had such a positive spirit. This really sucks and I'm sorry for the family and friends that have lost him.

Yeah, this one hurts a bit. Still young and such a good guy. So much fun to watch. 

Hate it for his family and that band. Seemed like a rock for Grohl.

RIP, man we are losing bands that I came of age on...STP, Nirvana, Foo, Sublime, Cornell, etc....this sucks.

I mean I hope not but Taylor was such a large part of the band and was one of the faces of it, more so than most drummers.  Every interview with Dave and Taylor.  Dave JUST came out with a solo metal album where he played most of the parts (called Dream Widow) yesterday as well which turned out really good.

That's the first thing I thought. He did come close to biting the big one due to an OD years ago, so yeah, it's possible it finally caught up to him.

I hope not too, but if Dave has been wanting to do other projects anyway, well, this could be what tips him over the edge.

Very sad regardless of circumstances. I’m 50 and grew up on late 60s - 80s rock.  Foo fighters are one of the “new” bands I group with LZ, Stones, Etc.. as iconic. Different time, sound and style but iconic for sure.  Just my personal opinion.
