jonathan stewart - countdown to 1000 yards and other pointless stats to ponder

Recommended Posts

Stewart is a beast. DWill and JStew go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Really? I prefer to say they're more like Peanut Butter & Chocolate. ;)

And to think of what Stew could be capable of if he were healthy and could actually participate in training camp and practice.

Thank god he is healthy & can still run. Why the hell they keep mention he is hurting everytime before their next game start?

307 to go.

with carolina determined not to lean completely on it's run game even with an unproven QB at the helm, it looks like a 1k yard season for stewart is about as probable as the panthers making the playoffs.

with only 3 games left, it looks like stewart will at least match last season's total with roughly the same number of touches.

another 126 yards and he will be ahead of nick goings.

done.

with 209 yards, he will have a better second season than all of the panthers' all time leading rushers with the exception of anthony johnson.

done.

192 yards will give him a better freshman/sophomore year total than any panthers' RB.

done.

451 yards will bump him into the number 6 position above anthony johnson.

158 to go.

198 to the 1000 yard mark. he needs 99 yards in each of the last 2 games.

depending on the extent of williams's injury and how they decide to play him over the next couple of weeks, things could be on the up and up for stewart's production.

A 1000 yd receiver, two-1000yd runningbacks......if we could produce those numbers in a lackluster season, well, that is a testament to the fight that is still on this team, and gives a bright outlook for next season, imo

Now you have me wondering. How many teams in NFL history have had 2 x 1000 yd rushers.

Wouldn't it be awesome. Stewart get about 125 next week. Knowing he only needs about 75 to get the 1000 yd mark. New Orleans tries so hard to prevent it like we prevented D. Brees from getting Dan Marino's record last season that we blow New Orleans out and both Smitty and Stewart get their 1K years.

Go Panthers
