I saw him get a concussion and a fractured shoulder blade.

Yeah in week 9 after leading the league in interceptions. He just can’t read defenses, lacks the QB brain. I think he is a nice guy, just shouldn’t be a starter in the NFL.

The video focused on his throwing motions.  That was relayed through the broadcasting early on in the workout.  Everyone was questioning that, even the announcers were. Word came in that was the focus.  Not sure why.

The coaches certainly were looking at something, especially Rhule.  Rhule was up his ass in the videos.

I agree it was certainly unprofessional.  There didn't seem to be a plan and it certainly didn't look rehearsed.

Especially going 3rd in the pro day order. Plenty of tips to pick up from the first two days, and they didn't even start til 3pm. Also didn't have good chemistry with his receivers mentally or physically, despite all his talk of being a team guy or whatever. Pickett was all business and Malik was having a good time and encouraging his guys, I like both those approaches better than whatever we just watched

Yeah whoever set that up didn't do the kid any favors.  To me it actually hurt his stock.

That guy is beyond help. I mean when Jets fans can face the truth better than you it's time to snap out of it.

Get comfortable with saying this...

"If only he could stay healthy and out of trouble."

That's what you get for 3 to 5 years with Corral and then you're on to your next QB.

Sprinkled in will be some good games and flashes.

No doubt he is the better of the 3 they are looking at. Still not the best long term prospect in this draft.

It's hard to feel too bad for Darnold, on his bed of money, but we've done him dirty if we draft a QB at #6 and pick up say Brown to play LT (and pair him with Corbett and Bozeman).

The zealots will see it as confirmation that Darnold sucked - but to me they'd be setting up the new QB for success after setting Darnold up for failure behind that OLine last year.

I think that Darnold will be the number 1 guy whether we pick a rookie or not. I have read somewhere that McAdoo likes Darnold better than Mayfield which is why we didn't jump on him right away.  It will be Darnolds job to lose. McAdoo wasn't here last year so he is going to install his offense and doesn't care about 2021. So if Darnold did suffer from a terrible line then he will improve with our hopefully better line and win us some games. If he still sucks there will be no one else to blame. How soon they expect to bench Darnold might influence who we pick if we go QB. If we need a starter right away then go with Pickett. Corral and Willis both would need to sit before they will be ready to start. So if you want either of them you need to hope Darnold can get much better with a line and good gameplan.

He only missed like 2 passes. Acurracy isn't one of Willis issues. For a duel threat I would say his accuracy is good. He had the fastball and can take something off of it which even cam couldn't do. He's a better passer than you give him credit for.

There is nothing wrong with Willis passing.  He has the most talented arm in the draft.  He can make every throw.

I'd argue he didn't have much time after the snap.

Normally I’d agree, but he actually played worse when he had time to go through reads. His best games were early when he was checking down to CMC quickly and only needing one read. In the rare instances he had a pocket he would make the worst decisions.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
