As someone mentioned earlier, Willis has good straight line speed but it’s not elite. Lamar and Vick are both faster.

Willis is more quick and shifty. I’ve watched damn near every snap of his career and I don’t ever recall him out running anyone, though when given space he’ll definitely take it to the house.

Willis is more likely to get you 7-10 yards every time that he takes off because of how shifty he is but it’s unlikely that he would win a track meet with a DB.

He chose to transfer to Liberty after not winning the starting job there.

risk is higher than the reward. If he pulls of lame on his 40yard, then it will hurt his draft stock. Players are now being advised by their agents to limit their "athletic contributions"

I actually trust Ben McAdoo to make the call if we go QB. I'm just not sure Rhule will be able to resist not ignoring his advice and making the decision himself.

Hugh Freeze is seen as one of the bottom tier coaches in all of college football. His offensive designs are a mess. Many players have spoken out about hugh in his career.

I'm in the exact same boat.  If they draft any of the qbs I will excited.  Each of the top prospects have clear strengths and clear weaknesses.  I dont know which one I prefer.  The gm, coaches, and scouts have so much more film and availability than we do.  If they decide they line one enough to be the pick at 6 then I'm excited to have them.

He was at Auburn and (according to himself) was very immature. Said he had a lot of growing up to do, watching film etc… Sounds like he has matured since then.

Running quarterbacks have been around way longer than people think. Fran Tarkenton is the earliest one I can remember watching, but there was also Roger Staubach, John Elway and others.

Having watched those guys, I always get a chuckle when people act like mobile quarterbacks are some new trend.

Billy Kilmer before he was injured.   Now, I’m really dating myself.  Hell, I remember watching Sonny Jurgenson as a child.

whether its a smokecreen or due dilligence, I do appreciate that they are bringing the house. As I said in another thread, the FO by committee model is finally in play. This is something Tepper brought up when he was hiring Rhule.

He didnt want a single person running it all, he wanted many extremely talented people working together to run it all.

I vaguely remember Kilmer and Jurgenson. Pretty sure Jurgenson was nearing the end of his career when I started watching. Kilmer was around a little longer.

I want more of a pocket passing quarterback. So I don't want Willis. I could be wrong but I don't see him winning superbowls in the NFL.

With the evolution of these pass rusher today it is out of necessity. 

Most of those guys arent especially fast.   They are good at moving in the pocket.  Pickett is also as athletic/mobile as or more than almost all of those guys as well.

Jesus fuging Christ. Till I’m blue in the face I’ll keep saying it because you don’t get it. Running QBs don’t win super bowls. Running to find a better lane to pass is different than QBs where design runs are called 10-15 times a game or they one read and take off.
