Just listened to this and I really enjoy listening to Simms talk about the QBs every draft. His knowledge of throwing mechanics and his insights on that separate him from the rest of the talking heads in my opinion. This was a great listen and opened my eyes some on a few of these prospects.

I put a lot of stock into what Simm's says and I really like how he breaks it down. I bought a lot into the negative hype around this year's QB class, but I would be thrilled with Corral or Pickett now. It would be nice to be competitive again. I think we are a QB away.

He played in a meaningless bowl game and coincidentally got hurt. Intelligent? Hmmmmm.

Your post speaks to a profound lack of understanding regards the situation.

He wanted to play for those that supported him. It was all about his team. He wasn't going to willingly let them down. That has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence. Maybe it wasn't the smart move...if you believe a player should only think of himself, but, again, it has nothing to do with intelligence.

Best QBs in this draft are not on that list. Combine is a joke. Watch film. See how they perform in clutch situations. Make sure they are consistent winners.

If those are your standards then you have to scratch Pickett, Willis, and Howell off that list.

Going off winning in college is a silly thing, because you wouldn't have drafted Mahomes, there's others too that have been drafted high with a loosing record. If your team's defense sucks and it costs the team games, not a lot the QB can do about that. Othwerwise Howell would be looked at different. Multiple GWD, stats in the second half+OT are much better. :Completion % is higher, QBR is higher, td to int ration is higher.. ext

Ha. I'm a bigger CFB fan so I want these guys to play in this bowl games.

But alas, all we've been told is how meaningless these bowl games are. Regardless, him playing is not an intelligent move for himself at all. Nor do NFL teams care about him being for his "team." In fact, his draft stock has slid since that bowl game as at one point he was rated higher than Willis and Pickett. But sure man. Sure.

I wouldn't quit on my team, risk or not.  Not how I was raised.

I'm not saying its smart, but it's what I would do as well.

Yeah, it's the way of College players nowadays. See the majority of Ohio State's receivers quitting before the Rose Bowl. It was wild.

Simms definitely has me wanting to look closer on Corall.  I mean his comp would be top of the group as well.  His injuries had me overlooking him a bit but the guy has the arm.  Of course, we don't get to interview him either to see where his head is
