You can sign Backups or competition for cheap and not give up a draft pick.. 

But like you say if he isn't a longterm answer why give up picks for maybe 2 or 3 more wins??

L because you were incorrect. Per usual. You might not like that he was drafted but it’s a fact he was. And he’s outplayed many first round “talents” while being on trash teams.
