I'm fine with pursuing Bozeman or Tretter. I might prefer Tretter because I don't think that figures into the comp picks formula.

I don't understand all the ins and outs of the cap but I think there's a way to rollover cap from year to year. I'd certainly look at rolling some cap over to 23.

Basically, I'd start stockpiling cap, and draft picks for 23. But I don't know that the current regime would want to do that

If we sign a G and a C, it means Christensen is the LT and we are drafting Willis.

If we sign a LT, it means Christensen will be the LG and probably Elf will play C.

So watch what we do in free agency---it will tell you who we are drafting.

Brady's best role might be swing tackle if we sign a G and a C.

They will have to bring in another QB to compete with Darnold. Rhule won’t wait on a developmental rookie. It’ll either be a trade for Mayfield or Garropolo, a free agent, or Pickett at #6. Willis is probably too raw for Rhule to consider.

You're right. That's what they'll do, but it will be the wrong move.

maybe you can trade back a couple spots and be able to draft a couple good lineman as well

I love willis he may be a huge risk but thats with any qb, he has the traits and he would definitely make games exciting to watch if he turns out to be good

Glad to see everyone is still delusional and thinks this poo storm can be fixed in one offseason!!! Here’s you how fix the team: trade back in the draft, accumulate picks, suck next year, pick a real qb like young or stroud, profit. This idea that we can cut corners on the rebuild and expedite the process continues to set us back years

    • This is factually incorrect. He was a two time Pro Bowler with the Rams and in fact statistically he was better with the Rams in his best season there than he has been with the Lions(could change with this season). Some of his per game stats have creeped into being marginally better with the Lions but there have not been dramatic differences in his play, actually. The biggest reason that McVay and he ended up splitting was McVay didn't think he could win a title with Goff. TBH.....so far he was 100% correct. Stafford almost immediately won them a SB and Goff in a historic run was about 70% of the reason the Lions faltered in the NFC championship game. He missed critical throws all over the first half and throughout the second half that he normally wouldn't. He choked. So, until Goff actually does win a SB...McVay has been right.
    • they have the best defense they've had in a long time...probably the best in the reid/mahommes era.  but i think they are probably the most beatable they've been in a while as well. record doesn't exactly bear that out, but they just don't look as strong on offense as they usually do. lots of reasons for that, like trying to build chemistry with newer receivers, but right now they just aren't as frightening as they typically are. i mean they'll probably win tomorrow, but i don't see them as the strongest team in the AFC right now.
    • He will likely remain unsigned the remainder of this season(barring someone being in a pure QB panic AND making poor decisions) largely due to the cost. I do think he will get multiple offers to be a backup QB and perhaps a couple to potentially start this offseason.  I will continue to beat the same horse over and over.....he should go to a successful team with an established starter. If I were him, go to somewhere like SF, LAR, etc. Somewhere with a successful QB coach and brilliant offensive mind and ALSO a set situation at QB. Ride the pine and adjust for a year or two. Chill and be around better culture. I would suggest the same for Bryce but he will be limited to wherever we can trade him.
