NGL, I already decided not to renew my psls, this might cause me to become a casual sports fan.

If you don't think this Watson crap will not set a tone in the future, get ready.

Almost all top player contracts will include NTCs now. Watson got to play college recruit in the NFL.

NTCs should not apply if the player REQUESTED a trade

Well, I hope we're able to mend fences with Chinn and Burns and hope they want to re-sign when that time comes after being dangled out in the wind so long for this bullshit.

Also, that report earlier said Deshaun was indecisive bc he is a nice guy...  nah, nice guys dont make teams wait almost a full week, only to rule them out, knowing you're going to play two of those teams twice a year.  I was a Watson fan, but that was a bitch move, especially to do it to the team that waited for over a year to get him.  Qell, you got your wish bro, and alienated us in the process.  I hope we bust his ass every fuging time we play them, and I hope they struggle to build anything around him being that roster already aucks and they're about to give up every single asset they possibly have outside of Pitts.

This poo was a fuging mess.

Lets be clear..WATSON does not need time to decide...ATL is his choice!  He needs time for ATL to move MATTY ICE...the question is....who wants MATTY ICE???  I'm tracking COLTS..but I hear they are looking at WINSTON...

Watson does not get to decide though. He will waive his NTC for the Falcons and Panthers. He is not sold on the Saints who have to keep trying to convince him he is close enough to home/family.

This is the Texans decision. They were not even offering Watson the Falcons until they needed to leverage the Panthers hold on Watson. We all know Watson wants to be as close to home as possible and has a long relationship with the Falcons.

Texans don't want Ryan in the AFC South. Falcons have to trade Ryan for the picks/players necessary to package with what they have in order to beat the Panthers offer. Falcons aren't going to get what they need from a Ryan trade imo.

Dolphins and Browns are the only 2 teams I see in the AFC that the Falcons and Texans would agree on trading Ryan to for the picks the Texans want. Not going to happen.

If the Panthers want Watson, CMC, Chinn, Burns, and Horn on the roster together, they have to wait. I believe the Texans would have already made the trade if the Panthers offered up 3 first rounders plus CMC and Burns.

I had no notion that he was a nice guy with his baggage.  I hope karma finds him.

    • He has better hands, significantly larger catch radius (like absurdly so), and better at 50/50 balls for a start, while he also already runs a more full route tree that is already at an NFL level. And before you say Hunter does those things well, I'm not saying he doesn't, but T-Mac is just better at them, just like Hunter is better at some things as well, such as pure speed/quickness and his ability to separate (and yes, separation and route running are two separate things, you can be a poor route runner but elite separator due to quick twitch ability). T-Mac has 3 legitimate weaknesses, 2 of which are easily improved upon in the NFL with proper coaching, with the 3rd just being due to his size and is a trade off for what you get from his size.   His get off at the snap and separation are two things that with coaching and just growing as a player, will get better.  Particularly because he's already an elite route runner, he just needs to improve his first couple steps after cutting to get that extra half step of separation.   His raw top end speed will always be what it is, it's not elite like Hunter, but it's MORE than fast enough to be successful in the NFL, particularly due to all his other positives.  As I've noted before, he was clocked at 20.8 MPH (I think this was the number, not going back to find it right now though) during his first 2 seasons in college, which would have been the 8th fastest a player was clocked in an NFL game this past season. You're taking these responses in this thread as if people are saying Hunter is a bum who couldn't cut it in the NFL as a WR if his life depended on it.  But we're really just saying he's a better CB prospect than WR, but even as a WR he's probably the 2nd or 3rd best prospect in the draft and still a 1st round pick.  We're also pointing out that you just can't ignore the wear and tear that his already thin frame has been put through by playing both ways for 3 years and the very legitimate concern about how he'll hold up long term in the NFL because of it, even if he only plays one side of the ball moving forward.
    • Geez people are very passionate about Travis Hunter. He seems like a solid dude. I think he has a great deal of potential wherever he ends up. For myself and my knowledge of Panthers draft history I'm ready to see us stop gambling on raw WR prospects and putting a much heavier emphasis on fundamentals ie route running and hands. But that's just me.
