Raiders have been quietly shopping Derek Carr for 3 weeks now. The Colts, Brown and Seahawks are said to be interested. The belife is that McDaniels wants to trade Carr because he is an easy value right now, for the following reasons:

1. Last year of his deal
2. He is going to be expensive this offseason due to his is current contract and elevated market
3. McDaniels wants to hand pick his QB

You can simply type in "Derek Carr Trade McDaniels" on google you will see articles sharing the same thing, and if you venture to the raiders reddit this has been an active topic.

that sounds like a horrific idea.   See last year. 

we do not need to keep trading away picks for bad QBs.  There is no one to trade for.  And all the non-answers will cost more than Sam.

They probably promised him input in decisions.  Which frankly is generic talk for any high value QB.

Matt Rhule and co are under pressure to win this year. He will not be patient enough to develop a rookie QB. That ship has sailed. They will be trading for a QB or signing a veteran FA most likely.

LAST RESORT, 11th hour--and this will blow some basement-dwelling minds: 

what if the Panthers, realizing that they are out of the DW sweepstakes, agree to take Matt Ryan and his  $40m salary for NO picks?.  That would give Carolina a bridge QB for a year or two while they find a replacement.  They could then draft LT with the #6 pick and be done.

I am not that serious about this, but it was a thought...

Why would they accept your proposed trade offer?   They are giving a way a franchise qb and all they get is to switch 1rsts?   Dude you have been just really insane the past few days
