Not primarily a receiving back but 11 targets 1 drop last year

Chris Manhertz caught 7 of 9 targets in 2019 and 2020. Doesn't make him a viable receiving option.

If he did/does somehow break out in the passing game then great. His career to date doesn't project him as an asset on the field in those situations.

He’s not a 4.45 guy. That was a pro day time like when Funchess ran a 4.5. That 4.45 would have been a record for a 230+ pound RB. If he was really that fast he would have run at the combine.

So he ran a 4.45 40 at his Pro Day but because he didn't run the 40 in the combine the 4.45 sec 40 at his Pro Day doesn't count. I don't get it...

Foreman's  drop% is half of Chubba's.  Chubba has one of the worst drop rates in the league.  In the Houston game, Chubba dropped 40% of his passes.    In the Minn game he droppeed 67% of his passes.  These weren't some over the shoulder deep, finnese, toe-drag bombs...these were check downs.  Chubba can't catch a cold.  J. Brady never learned that and he used  Chubba  in the passing game over and over on 3rd down.

Sample sizes are not the same, but its very unlikely that Foreman catches as poorly as Chubba.  Chubba is one of the worst  I've ever seen.

Was this the guy that crushed it on Tennessee Titans last year while Derrick Henry was out?

Yes.  Yet... he is getting crushed in this forum.  Maybe rightfully so, but I'm hoping we get last year's version of him.

Chuba and Foreman are also completely different types of backs, and Foreman's lack of receptions to date show he hasn't been suited to passing situations/catching the ball in his career. This isn't complicated.

Yes, Chubba is a smaller back.   If he can't catch checkdowns in today's league, he should consider other work.

Chubba is the one whose proven he can't catch.  Jury is out on  Foreman.  Early indications say he's better than Chubba.  But then again, who isn't?

I don't disagree about Hubbard being a poor receiver last year - it was frustrating watching him drop ball after ball tossed right to his hands. I'm just saying that Foreman getting Jordan Howard-esque usage in the passing game year after year does not give a positive signal for his potential in the area, even if he doesn't drop the few that come his way.

Time will tell, but at this point it seems a pretty limited signing.

I see it as a Mike Davis type signing and another selling point for DW.

We're desperate at this point, and unfortunately its showing.
