The CMC part has me doubting this guy though, I didnt think that Texans would want him in return, however we did shut down CMC early last year intentionally.... supposedly

I’m saying from the Texans perspective it makes no sense. Why would you take an overpaid oft injured rb and Darnold? The report is we have the best deal by a lot. I think people need to mentally prepare for burns or Chinn or both to be gone. If it really is cmc and Darnold and 3 1sts that’s a fuging steal:

Darnold is really gonna be dumping off to CMC next year in a Texans uniform.  Cause it worked so well here.

I agree! If we offload Darnold and CMC's contract without giving up another player I am partying like crazy!

I've said it elsewhere, do whatever it takes to keep Burns and Chinn, while still giving them value.

The dead cap is not bad on a trade. It's only bad on a cut because his salary is guaranteed this year. Trade cap hit would only add about $4.2M to the Panthers cap commitments this season. (About $12.8M in dead - $8.6M in outgoing money).

He probably will get suspended for 6 or so games next year but this isn’t about just next year.
