Pete Carroll could be 100 and he would still be an infinitely better coach than Matt Rhule. Not to mention he and the Seahawks have a certain trophy in their possession. If you can really convince yourself they are an inferior franchise you are deluded and too invested in this.

That trophy was from a SB that happened before the last time the Panthers went to the SB. This isn't prime RW, prime Richard Sherman, prime Legion of Boom Seattle. Seattle sucks right now. Period. Has less players than Carolina does. And just traded and released what was left from those SB teams. Saying a franchise is better all time is hilarious. The Cowboys are better than the Panthers because they won SB's in the 90's. Should Watson go there?

I don't think that Watson is worth the price. He hasn't played in a year, might still be suspended multiple games under the conduct code and will be playing behind a depleted team who gave up five first rounders including picks and players. If Watson gets hurt we are depleted and screwed. We could take quite a few swings at QB with all those first rounders we gave up. This year at 6 we can get our left tackle for the next decade or our pick of QBs and still keep our stars and future picks. If we go QB and he sucks, we can use that guy as our backup when we dump Darnold and we can get a top qb pick again in 2023.  With Rookie contracts cheap, you really can  keep going for your QB. And we still have our 2024 first rounder.  I don't understand the mortgaging a team for one player no matter who.  We don't want to end up being the case study for what not to do in sports management courses giving up the farm for a player who couldn't carry the team without a supporting cast.

Make the trade:

Worst case scenario is we keep sucking for two more years.

Best case scenario is he scores enough and limits turnovers enough to let our top 5 D get us deep in the playoffs THIS year and we are attracting free agents for the next 6-7 years while we recoup our picks.

Don’t make the trade:

100% chance we keep sucking this year.

More than likely we also continue to be bad-mediocre for years after while trying to develop a rookie QB.

Best case scenario is we draft Young or Stroud and it’s a coin flip as to whether they’re even starting NFL QBs long term.

I’ll take the risk in this particular player and if we end up being mediocre then oh well we made a deal for a proven commodity.

What’s funny is everyone is so upset about losing all these picks and what have we honestly done good in the last 3 or 4 years with all of our picks. We don’t even have an all-pro out of any of them. Quit the whining! Bring in an all-pro qb and build around him. FA’s will then want to come play with us.

People keep making posts like this while also saying we have more young cheap talent to offer than these other teams.  Which is it?

Lol you really think they’d trade him in their own division?!

People that HOPE we don't trade for Watson are conjuring up crap in their head they think makes sense. Then, they post it on here hoping it sticks. Common sense, reports, etc. BE DAMNED!

Carolina is the worst team in the NFC. Don't throw stones from a glass house.

Lions went 3-13-1, Giants wen 4-13, and Seattle just traded their QB and released their best player on defense from a 7 win team, and Carolina SOMEHOW is still the worst team in the NFC? Yeah. Your opinions over actual facts is kind of funny.
