Maybe I was wrong about KENNY PICKETT after reading these evaluations.

I have no idea if Pickett will be a good NFL qb, but then neither does anyone else here.  But the narrative that Pickett was only good one year is absurd.  He was actually good the two years before, but Pitt sucked.  In 2019, he had almost 3100 yards passing, 62% completion rate, a 122 qb rating, and only 9 picks.  And unlike guys like Burrow and Lawrence, he wasn't surrounded with a bevy of NFL receivers.

Thank you for understanding my point. No one who is ever drafted is a guaranteed success. That's just the way the world works. Pickett may be a bust but he may not be. I'm just saying that he has as good a chance as anyone else drafted top 10 in the last 5 years to be successful and that he's being ignored unfairly due to a media narrative that started last year. Everyone has become so negative that they just look for reasons to hate on everything. Not one person has denied his success last season. Normally, that would be enough to get people excited but drafting a player but not this year and the only reason I get to hate the idea is he had one good year. Last years' class had players that were praised but most had concerns about accuracy or character or mechanics but were absolutely draftable at 8. Yet a QB who has none of those issues is not because he had one successful season as a team.  I don't get it.

I really hope we get Watson now. This thread got me on the Watson train for sure.

Care to tell us why? I definitely don't want him here at the crazy price they're talking about nor the creepy vibe he'll bring. I prefer the idea that we're a positive culture.

yeah, that was a good defense bro. He used to be not so good. Got ya. So, I'll be sure to tell Stafford how he's not actually good now because he never won a SB before. You're genius.

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
