Football teams are their records. The Panthers just weren't that successful with theirs as evidenced by their record. Again, 3 winning seasons out of 9 not counting last year. That's 33%, which isn't good at all.

I've also never said that a QB isn't the most important player on an NFL team. They just can't get it done on their own. They need linemen to protect them, a running back to take some pressure off them throwing every down, TEs and WRs to catch their passes, and a defense that can stop the other team from scoring as much. It's almost as if football is a team sport.

The best thing the Panthers could do is go O-line in the draft, take their lumps with Darnold and PJ at QB this season, and go after a QB next year.

You’re absolutely right. It’s not just QBs…. but the hardest thing to get in the NFL is a franchise QB.

The same teams are always having the most success and the same teams are always having the least amount. The successful teams have a QB. Watson could have over 10 years left. That’s plenty of time to build around him. Good luck us building around a unproven rookie QB.

Especially one of the jabroni ass QBs in this years draft. No thank you. If we don’t get Watson draft o line at 6, roll with Sam again, take our lumps and draft our guy this time next year. Don’t want anything to do with the Jimmy Gs of the world.

Absolutely, this staff has shown it doesn’t know how to evaluate unproven QBs. For me it’s either trade for Watson or draft a OL at 6 and let the new regime pick their guy next year.
