I seriously hope this team isn’t planning on giving the Texans what they want for Watson. We would have a great qb but would still lose.

Best case for Watson is to just figure out what team he wants to play for. Then only accept a trade to that team and leak it. That drastically reduces the trade value and keeps the team that probably trades for him from losing tons of draft capital and valuable starters. Idk, I’m just a drunk atm but it makes sense.

Checking his contract it appears he would be signed through 2025.  So at least he couldn’t bolt after 2 seasons

He forced his way out of Houston after signing that extension. Just because he's under contract doesn't mean he will want to stay if things go badly.

Naw…it probably happens earlier.  Houston will want to know their draft situation and to be honest his worth is high as it gets now

I figured Tepper would pay him $10 million on the side to do exactly this.
