Im still on board. Yes Rhule has made mistakes but I have faith.

  • Cam, Teddy, Sam, Cam, Sam, with some PJ thrown in for good measure.
  • His choice in versatile O-linemen instead of actual good single position players.
  • Hiring Brady to impress Tepper instead of picking a more known name or someone that would do what he wanted.
  • Extending and bringing in his college kids even if they hadn't earned it.
  • Lack of adjustments during games.
  • The two year third quarter woes.

Those are just some of his mistakes. I only trust for Rhule to make things worse, not better.

I think the FO is doing a good job. I really like Fitt and hope that if we move on from Rhule he stays.

Fitt is either a yes man or not good at his job based off what has happened so far.

We have an elite defense.

Haha. Did you watch how the defense got ran over all season? Elite defenses don't get smacked around like that anytime a team runs on them.

We are going to rebuild the o-line this year.

The question is if the rebuild will be better, about the same, or worse?

If we roll out with Darnold and he sucks, well Rhule will get canned and we bring in a new coach and have a top draft pick.

Nothing Tepper has done leads me to believe Rhule just has this year to right the ship.

If Darnold plays good then thats, good!... still might not save Rhule.

Darnold is done. He just doesn't have what it takes to be a staring NFL QB.

if not then Tepper will make changes.

From keeping Marty, to keeping Ron, to letting Marty lead the new coach search. Everything he has done so far has been a mistake that he hasn't been willing to learn from and I don't trust trust that Tepper will make good changes even if he goes in a different direction.

You’re obviously not a true fan. You’re supposed to swallow what given to you and call it cheesecake.

I don’t like cheesecake. I used to work at Costco and a rack of it tipped over and I had to stuff it down a drain by hand. Nasty

Seems like the team is making it pretty clear Darnold is done here. Besides there is no scenario where Sam plays "good" through a full season. He is the same QB he was in NY and USC. Let it go. Even Jets fans are laughing at this pipe dream.

Right and I get that. If he sucks again this year his career is over and we move on.

The point being, if you don't have a QB then you might as well take shots to find one.

Oh he will suck again this year if he gets to play.  The rumors out there indicates that Sam is done as a Panther.  The sense I get is that they will do anything to get rid of him, much like Teddy. Look for them to eat that contract to ship him if they must.

Why are some of you getting SO emotional over the Panthers? This is supposed to be fun. If it's not, just take a break!

it's fun to hate the people who made this mess especially david tepper because he is a cocky douche

It all comes down to the QB play.

I support this team and have faith they will put put it together... and if not then Tepper will make changes.

It will be ok 🙂

L it won't be ok

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
