Mick Mixon...

I used to love messing around in the garage on Sunday afternoons with the Panther's game on the radio while Rosinski was there. The one thing I couldn't stand though was when Eugene opened his mouth and displayed his total lack of professionalism...NOW I PRAY FOR EUGENE TO STEP IN AND SAY SOMETHING! At least he's into the game and is excited to be there.

Almost everything Mick does just feels really awkward and unnatural. Even some Cleveland fan made fun of him on his blog:

It wasn't the most beautiful of kills, but the Panthers were able to get the Cleveland Browns wrapped up in their coils, and finally constrict the life right out of them." --Panthers radio play-by-play announcer Mick Mixon" (I shudder at the mere thought of his voice fluctuation here)

Mixon comes up with one of the worst, most forced metaphors for a football game I've ever heard. It'd be one thing if the Carolina team had something, anything to do with snakes, hopefully constricting ones. Maybe the Pythons or something.

Now to be fair, I really liked Mixon as the color analyst at UNC (and I'm a Duke fan) and I would have never thought he would be as bad as he is as the play-by-play guy but he's just not the right guy.
