I do love watching Thomas catch a pass though. Seeing his snail like movement and zero YAC combined with his complete inability to drive through any tackles is a treat to watch.

We got him on the cheap me thinks.

Rapoport's tweets are for marketing purposes more than anything. Nice shout out to the sports management firm right at the bottom of his last tweet. It's just more obvious when it's our players they're gassing up undeservedly.

Nowhere in my wildest dreams did I think this would be a TE currently on our roster.

OK - trying to makes some sense out of this move (which is likely a pointless task)

Thomas is now paid as if he's a pretty decent TE.  And the team also has a new OC Ben McAdoo so a new offense next season.

Does all this mean McAdoo wants to run a 2 TE base set ?   Provide a really good push for the run game with Thomas as the blocking TE or FB on every play.  So Thomas is on the field almost all of the time.  Because that's how much he's getting paid.

We're the worst organization in the NFL. These are the types of deals you have to offer to even borderline roster caliber quality players to get them to put pen to paper. It's a good indicator of what to expect in FA. Prepare to pay premium prices for everyone else's trash!
