Questions about MW2 multiplayer

That sniper footage was crazy. LOL. How the hell does anyone aim that fast? A lot of those shots you don't even see the scope view come into play...he just taps the left trigger immediately followed by the right trigger. Insane.

Oh and I took the sniper rifle and played split screen...if you don't get a headshot it's not a one hit one kill thing. I would aim at the middle torso and it would take two shots to kill. i need to check with the different perks though, I don't think I had stopping power equipped.

Oh you can kill 1 shot 1 kill without a head shot with a sniper rifle, I use the m-21 erb and have gone 5/5 in 2 seconds with just one head shot before, that gun has no recoil.

And btw some of those sniper bids are from the pc game, you can't aim and shoot a sniper consistently that fast on a console.

be sure not to have a silencer on...

You can take more pot shots with a silencer on, but you can't use it on the .50 cal, the recoil means it takes a while to line up the second shot (it's always two shot kill) and by that point the person is gone.

I haven't got the M-21 unlocked yet. Maybe you can with that but I know I can't get one shot one kill with the WA2000. BTW...I'm using Bling pro with silencer and ACOG scope. I only have those and the heartbeat sensor unlocked for that gun.

It takes me two shots to kill someone with that, unless it's a head shot, and the only way I can get a head shot is if someone is standing still, which ain't often.

Also another question...do Xbox 360 players play versus computer players? If so, they would have a huge advantage and that's the only way I can see pulling off those shots that guy in the video was pulling off.

Do you guys use the left trigger at all? I use it all the time, and even though I'm doing alright, I've noticed watching the kill cam that a lot of people don't even bother with the left trigger.

That's the kind of sniper play I was looking for with getting slight of hand pro. I switch to Intervention and viola, I'm doing pretty damn well. I've learned that you pretty much have to ignore the stats they give guns and just try them out.

That style of sniper play goes back to day of defeat, the last fps game I played a lot. I wasn't quite as good as

but pretty close. As I play more and more mw2 I get the impression it's more about spray and pray. That's a big reason I stopped playing fps games because they were all heading in that direction. Old school dod and cs emphasized accuracy and skill - something I don't think any other game has been able to reproduce.

I just got a big 10-15+ killstreak and ended up dominating the game, but it felt cheap. A lot of those kills came from ks rewards and everything just stacked up.

BRAVO!

I dont understand why they go for realism in so many aspects and then put this poo in there. These are even worse than the HBS. I cant wait for BF: BadCo2

Will be superior to MW2

The Akimbo 1887s are ridiculous.

Early on while leveling you may not see them as much, but as you get better and play more you'll recognize them. They are crazy. Dual level action shottys (sawed off) that seem to have better ballistics than all the other shottys. Explain that one. Then add in the speed reload...oh...and they can still melee with them. Ok...you're a dude running around with two level action shottys...turn the corner and can immediately go to a knife and in one swipe...knock out someone that's facing you firing a machine gun. Ok...where'd you hide the one shotty that allowed you to use the knife?

I think they'll patch it. Otherwise...the multiplayer maps are just going to evolve into Akimbo 1887-fests.

They already have.

I found that problem when using the M4, even with FMJ activated, it has absolutely no stopping power - you have to basically unload a clip into their chest to kill them.

My general playing style means I like to skirt the battlefield and engage from distance using the scope, but with the M4 that means headshots or you don't kill them. I was definitely scared off from mixing it in the middle due to this weapon - you almost always lose those surprise close encounters.

I've moved on to the SCAR recently and I've had much more success (though I don't have the scope at the moment). It has much more stopping power and it's just as accurate as an M4 - basically it's superior in every way. I'm still finding people running around a corner and running through a hail of bullets to kill me, but that's a flaw in the game rather than the fault of the gun (and if one more person stabs me after running through said hail I'm going to kill someone).

Having said that, people who run around with heavy machine guns deserve to be stabbed in the face. Those things are as cheap as you can get - they shoot through anything (like Kurb, I'm tired of being shot through walls) and are pretty much one shot kill weapons (with the right upgrades) and are fully automatic - they almost guarantee the wielder wins those surprise close encounters the majority of the game is based on. They need to be balanced out by preventing the player from running if they equip one.

The difference between the red dot sight and the holographic sight is that the holographic sight sucks.

As for sniper rifles, they're difficult to use - at the moment I daren't use one because I don't have cold blooded or ninja i.e. any sort of air support decimates you (and I loathe dying from those things) and any muppet with a heartbeat sensor can find you. If you can't hide as a sniper you're toast.

m4 is a midrange weapon. If you wanna pick people off from a distance use scar using controlled bursts, or m16/famas. ACR works too, but i think it's a bit weak on the non hardcore game modes.

sniping isn't that hard once you stop depending on taking a breath. quick zoom+ quick aim + fire. the only thing is, some of these snipers seem a bit weak. And rightly so, otherwise people would just dominate with them. I prefer red dot to the holo cuz it makes lining up shots easier, the ring around the middle dot makes it hard to see where someone's head is when trying to pick them off from a distance. Besides, Holo seems better for weapons with high recoil.
