Questions about MW2 multiplayer

The first question I am trying to ask if I would show up on your mini-map if I am crouching (pressing the B button I think). I think in Halo, your opponent can't see you on their mini-map if you are crouching. It's a good way to sneak up on someone.

No, you'll still show up unless the radar is jammed or ninja is on against the heartbeat sensor.

You only show up on the radar if they have UAV or you're firing a gun without a silencer. It's not a motion sensor like halo.

Also don't forget that others can hear your footsteps. Crouching is the only way to sneak up on people.

I think the knife/blade melee is too strong in this game...and hope it's turned down in the future.

If you think a simply swipe of a knife from 5+ feet away kills someone without a fight...you'd be wrong.

The knife thing isn't that big of a deal I've only been knifed once from in front in the last week I've played, now it was a problem for a little bit but something about dual shotguns has a way of making people not so willing to get anywhere close to me.

You know, that's one of the biggest flaws in mw imo. I think the leveling is pretty cool and doesn't represent skill level, but I hate the fact that the more experienced players get better weapons. I was playing against a few level 70s, and they were great players, but it was very hard competing with them when they had better weapons.

Not so much weapons, but things added to the weapons.

Dual Shotguns need some major tuning.

The spread doesn't seem to be affected at all and one shotting people from a good distance away is a bit absurd.

The Akimbo 1887s are ridiculous.

Early on while leveling you may not see them as much, but as you get better and play more you'll recognize them. They are crazy. Dual level action shottys (sawed off) that seem to have better ballistics than all the other shottys. Explain that one. Then add in the speed reload...oh...and they can still melee with them. Ok...you're a dude running around with two level action shottys...turn the corner and can immediately go to a knife and in one swipe...knock out someone that's facing you firing a machine gun. Ok...where'd you hide the one shotty that allowed you to use the knife?

I think they'll patch it. Otherwise...the multiplayer maps are just going to evolve into Akimbo 1887-fests.

Don't know...but it's pretty ridiculous. I'm about realism...but understand the concepts of game balance.

I think they need to add a few more game options...like Hardcore TDM and HC Domination...I almost play exclusively Ground War, but wish it were hardcore as well. In there you can deal with the speed sprinting meleers a bit easier.

Yeah I've seen people going around with those shotguns. I watched one of the kills someone got on me and he barely had to aim. It was close range but he was aiming about a foot to my left.

The sniper rifles seem weak to me as well(though I haven't played with them much). I was amazed that the .50 cal wasn't automatically a one shot kill. As soon as I got slight of hand pro I thought I was going to dominate with a sniper rifle but it doesn't really work without 1 shot kills.
