Who is the backup QB ?

Gardner Minshew was traded  to the Eagles last year and is under contract for year 2022 .  Robby Anderson is showing interest in being traded .  Robby has one year left on his contact also .   Would you try to make a trade with the Eagles for Minshew .  He is an upgrade QB over Darnald and the cost for the trade would not break  the bank  .  This trade allows the Panthers upgrade our O-line with our draft and if MInshew doesn't work we can draft a QB in2023 .

Minshew would be fine for a bridge starter here...if we were not such a flaming mess now. Rhule is backed into a corner and I don't think Minshew offers much relief to his issues this year. We should have traded for him and not Darnold last year but that bed has been shat.

Backup QB just doesn't matter until they do whatever they are going to do about the starting QB first.

Minshew was a no brainer move last offseason.  Acquiring him cheaply would have made sense to backup Sam.  In the event that Sam Darrnold didn't work out (who could've predicted that? ), Minshew was a decent enough alternative that cost almost nothing.

Going into last season with no option besides Sam on the roster was just irresponsible.

The sad part is that they can still get Minshew and he'd be a lot better than Darnold. Also cheaper. But they won't. It makes too much sense. Rhule is gonna hinder this team on his way out. Gonna give up that #6 for some washed up QB in a last ditch effort.

I don't remember Minshew being available.  I agree with the Sam being an irresponsible option.  In more ways than one.
