Fire Jeff Davidson & Ron Meeks

Lets fire Ron Meeks because our front four can't get any pressure.

Lets fire Jeff Davidson because Jake can't play QB.

Now I do agree that Davidson has called some piss poor plays, but I suspect Fox is the cause of the play selection.

Davidson/Fox should be fired b/c they no Jake can't throw....and the run game is there....and they go to Jake. Coaching 101 - tells them to stay away from Jake and they put games on his shoulders early.

Meeks has done alright. Lot of big injuries have effected things......it is a Fox defense. We knew coming in we needed help of Pep on the DL and it wasn't coming this year.

2.Ron Meeks's Defense is soft as a baby's bottom.Any good qb could pick that defense apart.

Jake's passing attempts per game this year - 28.7 (21st in the league)

Jake's passing attempts per game last year - 25.8 (21st in the league)

Not exactly 40 attempts per game, is it?

Panthers' rushing attempts per game this year - 32.0 (4th in the league)

Panthers' rushing attempts per game last year - 31.5 (6th in the league)

ANSWER: 37 pass attempts per game average

what are our average rushing attempts in our losses as well?

ANSWER: 25

I would be more interested in that stat than the season overall

So I will say that in the 6 losses, the passing game is our problem. This offense plays to hold a lead not come from behind and win. Any adversity on the field and the offense panics. I think the offense mirrors the QB. You see how frantic jake gets on the field. We all loved it at the beginning and called it heart, now its more him losing control of the team and his cool

I rather fire Fox than Meeks & Davidson. It's not Meeks's fault some of our defense are struggling with many of them getting hurt. His defense are clicking & starting to get better. I hope next year they will even better under his power if he stay & get more creative freedom.

Of course a team that is behind is going to throw the ball in the 4th quarter. So those stats mean nothing. Should they have run the ball earlier on in some of those games? Of course. But that stat you posted would be the same for almost any team.

No b/c you can breakdown a game like Miami and Carolina simply set the tone for the pass early. They weren't throwing b/c they were behind....they got behind b/c they were throwing. Same can be said for games like Philly, AZ playoff game etc.

Out of our 6 losses, only 1 game comes to mind that we needed to pass to try to come back and win and that game is the Philly game. We wouldn't have had to pass so FN much if it weren't for 4 int's by JAKE.

ATL, Dallas, Was, Buff, and NO games, never were we down so bad we had to resort solely on the passing game. Abandoning the run so early in some of those games forced us to pass late in the games.

How many times should we have run the ball with less than a minute vs the Dolphins.... or that last drive in the first Atl game? See we can nit-pick all the way around if yo want to.

My beef in the Miami game is Delhomme was miserable in the first half when he did throw. He was sacked 3 times on 3rd down and threw 7 for 17 in the first half for 64 yards and 20 of those came on a blown coverage against Rosario. We didn't convert a single 3rd down through the air that half. We had 74 rushing yards on 15 carries. Your running game should never average more yards per attempt in a half unless you rip a big run, which we didn't.

In the Atlanta game we were only down 8 with 5:35 left. We called 1 run play that drive and 8 pass plays. 4 straight incomplete passes from the Atlanta 17 to end the drive.

Or how about the Dallas game where we were within a score right until late in the 4th quarter. We only ran the ball 14 times that game.

The Buffalo game we ran all of 7 times in the 2nd half even though we didn't get down 2 scores until the 4th quarter and that was early in the 4th with time left for multiple drives.
