Panthers need a G and a LT. Instead of drafting some scrub who basically played JV football who can play both positions; draft a T from a big time school and a G from a big time school.

seriouslt this is the worst one yet. I thought the one that had us taking a CB was bad but dang son

I'll second that.

If, if, if a run hit the LT before 6th(top 3 are gone), were do you see the panthers going?? Please dont say pickett...please..

I mean, it all depends on the board honestly. Thibodeaux seems like the biggest home run if he were to fall to 6, but I haven't heard a connection or anything.

have you guys watched anything of penning?

he’s a fuging monster who ends every play by throwing defenders to the ground because he can.

Yeah, it's pretty clear the whole "knocking people down" thing is his favorite part of the job.

Everyone agrees Penning has a mean streak a mile wide.

Fans seem to be grouping Neal, Cross, and Ekwonu pretty close together but it isn't crazy to think some teams might have a gap between OT 2 and OT 3.  Of the 3, I've seen a few reports of Cross being viewed lower.

I could actually see a scenario where OT1, OT2, DE1 and DE2 are all gone by the time we pick and us not being as high on OT3.

If that was to happen, I could actually see Hamilton come into play and dare I say CB1, if we aren't able to trade down.  I think sometimes at the very top of the draft teams have a hard time passing on "elite" prospects to chase need.

He could easily be there IMO.

Jax goes Ekwonu/Neal, Detroit goes Aiden (they could be a wildcard as well), Kyle Hamilton & Stingley are arguably the best prospects in the draft and better fit NYJ and HOU needs, and another OL Neal/Cross or Pickett trade up at 5.

Then we're sitting there with Thib & Willis to pick from.

    • heck yes! With the Sanders/Dowdle trade and Mingo, Morgan has already screwed the cowboys so much that our marketing team is working on a video called "Danny Does Dallas"!
    • If that’s how the first 7 go then they’re taking McMillan at 8
    • Another reason for my liking Membou, besides the fact that Moton's knee is suspect (did not play the entire season last year), he is getting old, and he will be on the last year of his contract:  The QB market is loaded next year.  Not only does drafting Membou make you younger and saves about $24m per year in RT expenses (in 2026), it would give you a solid line should we have to replace Bryce.  Young had nine nice games, but if he requires a $100m OL to be productive and will ask for $60m, that is more than half the cap at 6 positions--not including TE, WR, and RB.  Yikes. So we will not be able to re-sign Moton regardless; we will extend Ekwonu and probably give him $35m per.  But lets say Bryce does not show us enough in 2025 to give us confidence moving forward.  If you draft the RT NOW, you have a solid OL for a new QB to play behind.  Note how the other teams like New England have been scrounging around for a T--if you don't get one early in the draft, you don't get one.  Is Christensen (on a 1-year deal) the answer?  He will want vet starting money and he'd be a downgrade. We'd have to choose between drafting a QB in the best QB draft in history or drafting the RT.  Of course, we take the QB and have a glaring need at RT.  This might get that QB injured. Even if Bryce works out, we still need to cut our OL costs in half.   So looking beyond 2025, I see the value in taking the less glamourous best player available.  We know we are losing Moton--if his knee gives out before 2026, we'd have depth.  If it does not, we have options, such as trade Moton to a team with a desperate need at T.
